RYXN is a South African rapper, photographer, and street creative
based in Johannesburg. His work sits at the intersection of raw
urban storytelling and deliberate artistic vision — where the
concrete speaks and silence has texture.
Drawing from the pulse of Jozi's streets, RYXN constructs worlds
rather than songs. Each project is a frame. Each verse, a
photograph. Each drop, a statement carved from the city he calls
home.
RYXN is a Johannesburg-born rapper, photographer, and multidisciplinary street creative carving his own lane at the intersection of South African hip-hop and visual culture. Raised on the concrete rhythms of Jozi, his music is as much architecture as it is sound — each track a deliberate frame, each project a world built from the ground up.
His debut Concrete EP announced an artist uninterested in template thinking — raw, considered, street-rooted but never confined to it. The follow-up Motion Tape expanded the universe, blending photography, fashion, and verse into something that resists genre. His latest EP, RYXN × JHB, is the most complete statement yet: six tracks that document a city, a generation, and a creative refusing to wait for permission.
